Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram and Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has commissioned a number of newly completed educational and community facilities across the constituency.
The facilities, commissioned on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, include two 3-unit classroom blocks, a kindergarten block, four playgrounds and a 12-seater toilet facility.
They are located in Lakpleku-Djinahor, Kpatcheremidor, Tsopoli, Ahwiam, Prampram, Afienya and Mataheko, with the projects aimed at improving learning conditions and providing safer spaces for children.

Speaking after the commissioning of the Lakpleku facility, Sam George George said the new infrastructure was necessary to replace an old classroom block that had affected teaching and learning in the community.
“You realise that there’s an old block here that has been problematic and has always affected education in the community, but working with the DCE and under the RESET agenda of President Mahama, we’ve decided to turn it around and put up a new block for the community, the Lakleko community, because we believe that education is critical and essential.”
He said the new classroom block had been furnished with desks and chairs, in addition to teachers’ offices.

“There’s already furniture, desks and chairs in there, because you don’t build a classroom block and expect the kids to come and sit on stones. So we’ve put in chairs and tables as well.”
Sam George George also commended traditional authorities, particularly the Chief of Lakpleku, Nene Lakleku, for their support for development initiatives in the area.

The commissioning forms part of broader efforts in the Ningo-Prampram District to improve basic school infrastructure and learning conditions. The District Assembly has also distributed classroom furniture to selected schools, including newly completed blocks, to address shortages.
