The Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced a major reshuffle involving the transfer of several officers across its regional and operational structures.
The transfers, approved by Managing Director Adam Mutawakilu, will take effect from Thursday, October 1, 2026, according to a memo dated August 5, 2026.
The affected officers include chief managers, managers, senior finance officers, communications officers, regional finance officers, human resource officers, distribution officers, customer care personnel, and other technical staff.
The transfers span several GWCL locations and operational units, including the Head Office, Accra West, Accra South, Northern Region, Upper West Region, Western Region, Ashanti Region, Ashanti South, Central Region and Volta Region.
According to the memo, some of the changes are aimed at addressing operational and staffing needs within the company.
The reshuffle also affects communications personnel, with officers being posted to the Head Office and various regions, alongside changes involving finance and human resource officers.
GWCL said the transfers are permanent.
The affected officers have been directed to prepare comprehensive handing-over notes detailing their duties and functions before leaving their current stations.

According to Accra News sources the move is to ensure operational efficiency better service provision to the public.
