GoldBod, GWL sign GH¢8.4 million deal to rehabilitate 3 galamsey ravaged water supply systems

GoldBod has signed a GH¢8.4 million agreement with Ghana Water Limited (GWL) to rehabilitate the Bonsa, Daboase and Sekyere Heman Water Supply Systems in the Western and Central Regions.

At the signing ceremony, GoldBod CEO Sammy Gyamfi, Esq. said the Board conducted an independent technical assessment before approving the project, reaffirming GoldBod’s commitment to responsible mining, environmental sustainability and improving the lives of Ghanaians.

GWL Managing Director Adam Mutawakilu thanked GoldBod for the timely intervention, noting that the project will help restore water production and improve service delivery to affected communities after years of operational challenges.

In a statement, GOLDBOD assured of continued investments in sustainable solutions that protect the environment and strengthen critical public infrastructure.
