BECHEM UNITED has confirmed the appointment of Kobina Amissah as their new head coach, replacing Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway, who was sacked on Monday due to the team’s poor performance.
Kobina Amissah was previously the coach of Division 1 league side Home Stars in the Volta Region. He joins Bechem United with experience in Ghanaian football.
Bechem United currently sits in the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League table with 6 points from 8 matches, having lost 4, drawn 3, and won only 1 game. The club’s management had considered appointing former coach Kassim Mingle, who was recently sacked by Nations FC.
Bechem United’s next match is against Young Apostles at the Wench Sports Stadium.
The club has welcomed Amissah and expressed excitement for the journey ahead, as they look to turn their fortunes around under his leadership
