Bechem United Sack Coach Stephen Desmond Issah-Botchway

Bechem United has parted ways with head coach Stephen Desmond Issah-Botchway and his assistant Bright Anthony Konadu. The club announced the decision in a statement signed by CEO Kingsley Osei Bonsu on Monday morning.

The statement did not provide reasons for the sacking, but the club expressed appreciation for the duo’s work and wished them well in their future endeavors.

The decision comes after a disappointing run of results, culminating in a goalless draw at home to Nations FC on Friday. Bechem United currently sits in the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League table with 6 points from 8 matches, having lost 4, drawn 3, and won only 1 game.

According to reports, Bechem United is set to appoint former coach Kassim Mingle as the new head coach. The club will be looking to bounce back from their current slump under new leadership.

Bechem United’s next match is against Young Apostles at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
