Shatta Wale granted GH₵10m bail over Lamborghini probe

Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale has been granted bail of GH₵10 million with two sureties by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) over a yellow Lamborghini Urus.

His manager, Sammy Flex, confirmed that the artiste’s legal team is working to satisfy the bail conditions.

EOCO has indicated that the investigation relates to tax obligations on the luxury car as well as the operations of Shatta Wale’s company.

EOCO noted that Shatta Wale cooperated fully with investigators and voluntarily surrendered the car.

However, he, along with a former officer of the National Signals Bureau, remains a person of interest in the case and may face further questioning.

The seized Lamborghini is currently in EOCO custody, with the FBI and U.S. Justice Department expected to request its repatriation as part of efforts to recover $4.7 million owed in restitution by Amuah.
